Over 60,000 girls took part in over 1,400 Girls’ Football Week sessions delivered in schools, universities, colleges, clubs, community groups and other organisations across the country in 2017

Interested in playing football? To celebrate Girls’ Football Week, Aylesbury United Ladies & Girls FC are running FREE taster sessions:

• Wednesday 25th April from 18:15 to 19:30 - Girls and Ladies - FREE taster session for ages 8 to 50 at Fairford Leys Playing Fields, Andrews Way, HP17 8QQ

• Saturday 28th April from 9:30 to 10:30 - MiniDucks for Girls - FREE taster session for ages 3 to 7 at Fairford Leys Playing Fields, Andrews Way, HP17 8QQ

Girls' Football Week runs from Monday 23rd April to Sunday 29th April and is a national campaign to get as many girls as possible playing the game. Whether girls play regularly or are lacing their boots for the first time, it is a great opportunity to get active, meet new friends and have fun!

The FA have teamed up with Disney to inject some extra excitement into the week and everyone who registers online will get access to Disney-inspired activity plans so they can practise their skills at home. They’ll also get a certificate for attending and a 20% discount voucher to use in Disney stores*.

Players should wear suitable clothing, footwear and shin pads, and bring plenty to drink.

* Girls must sign up via the online booking system to receive their certificate and Disney store discount code from the FA/Disney. The booking system will remain open for a week after the taster session to allow girls who to turn up on the day to register and receive their certificate and code.

** MiniDucks for Girls is open to ages 3 to 7 but the minimum age on the FA booking site is 5 years. Please select 5 if aged 3 or 4 years.
