Aylesbury United launch new MiniDucks for Girls to coincide with FA Girls’ Football Week

To coincide with FA Girls’ Football Week, Aylesbury United Ladies & Girls FC are pleased to announce the launch of MiniDucks for Girls - football training sessions for girls aged 3 to 7 years.

Run by FA-qualified coaches, MiniDucks for Girls offers an introduction to football in a safe, relaxed environment. The emphasis is on fun, making friends and learning the basics at an early age, and these skills will prove invaluable as the girls progress to playing competitive football.

“We’ve been running MiniDucks for both boys and girls for over four years,” explains MiniDucks Coach, John Stirzaker, “but with more and more girls playing football, we felt the time was right to offer dedicated training for girls in partnership with the Ladies and Girls section of Aylesbury United.”

MiniDucks for Girls sessions are every Saturday morning from 9.30 – 10.30am at Fairford Leys Football Pitches, Andrews Way, Aylesbury, HP17 8QQ. The first session is FREE and then just £3 per session thereafter. There’s no need to book - just turn up and play - and girls should wear suitable clothing, footwear and shin pads, and bring plenty to drink.

“We’re really excited to launch MiniDucks for Girls as part of FA Girls’ Football Week,” says Chairperson and Ladies player, Debs Hewes, “as this means the Club can offer a pathway for female players from an early age through to ladies football.”
