The Ducks celebrate end-of-season awards with special guest Ellen White

Aylesbury United Ladies & Girls FC enjoy a great end to the 2017/2018 season

Thank you to everyone who came to the presentation day and congratulations to all those who won awards. It was amazing to see so many members of our club in one place and having fun.

Saturday 30th June saw Aylesbury United Ladies & Girls FC hold their end-of-season presentation day at Bierton Sports Centre. Billed as a fun day for all the family, the club laid on a BBQ, disco and bouncy castles, as well as fun and games to enjoy in the sun. This was the first time that the club had organised a whole-club presentation and this season’s event included players from the new Mini Ducks for Girls and Social Ladies teams. Guest of honour was local legend and England Lioness, Ellen White, who presented the players with their awards and posed for photos.

The Mini Duck of the Season award was presented to Rosie Turnbull.

The awards for the U10s were:

• Most Improved - Morgan Briggs
• Supporters’ Player - Angelina Prendergast
• Players’ Player - Lily Carlile
• Manager’s Player - Lucy Sara

The awards for the U10 Reds were:

• Most Improved - Kacie-Mae Cox
• Supporters’ Player - Cerys Shirley
• Players’ Player - Sophie Bevan
• Manager’s Player - Hannah Coleman

The awards for the U11s were:

• Most Improved - Milly Ludlow
• Supporters’ Player - Chloe Timms
• Players’ Player - Rosalina Byrne
• Manager’s Player - Grace Henley

The awards for the U13s were:

• Most Improved - Kiera Cossey
• Supporters’ Player - Iona Lawson
• Players’ Player - Madeline Smith
• Manager’s Player - Heather Savage

The awards for the U15s were:

• Most Improved - Kiyana Fryer
• Supporters’ Player - Sarah Timmins
• Players’ Player - Eve Savage
• Manager’s Player - Mollie Almond

The awards for the Aylesbury Social Ladies Football Club were:

• Most Improved - Clare Knowler
• Most Committed - Lucy Hobley

The awards for the Ladies were:

• Most Improved - Clare Knowler
• Club Person - Beanie Cameron
• Top Goal Scorer - Amber Chalmers
• Players' Player - Justine Riley
• Manager's Player - Justine Riley

Debs Hewes and Beth Cameron were also presented achievement awards for 100 and 200 club appearances respectively.

The final award of the day was Club Person of the Year which was presented to Ladies coach, Phil Reeves, who is retiring after 10 years of coaching girls’ and ladies’ football. During his time at the club, Phil won the league with the U12, U13, U16 and U18 girls, as well as two league cups and runners-up in the county cup.

Well done to all the players, managers and coaches on another great season. A big thank you to everyone who helped organise the presentation day. Thank you to Andrew Ives for providing the bouncy castles and disco. Thank you to Mike Snell for taking the photos. Finally, a special thank you to Ellen White for inspiring the next generation of female footballers and creating long-lasting memories.
