The U10 Whites went into their first ever league match with some nerves and playing four quarters were slow to get going. Amber Whitehead stepped up to be first keeper and put in a brave performance for the first two quarters.
The first qtr finished 1-4, with the girls starting out strong but struggled to keep the defence up and were quickly 2-0 down. Until Maizie drove the ball down the middle scoring our goal.
The second qtr finished 0-2, the girls started to work harder on their formation and defence was getting better. They started to drive the ball towards the goal but unfortunately never secured the goals needed. Ingrid was on top form and was winning the ball at each end of the pitch with Amber controlling her area.
The third qtr saw Tia taking over as keeper and it finished 0-1, the girls were starting to gel as a team and were calling for the ball. Amelie comes in with some great tackles and Tia come up top trumps with incredible saves. Miriam stays in position and is ready to turn and run with the ball.
The final qtr finished 0-1, a solid team performance despite tiring. Amber shows her strength in defence, Maizie and Ingrid run the wings, Peanut in mid field blocks some lovely balls out of our half. Once again; Tia pulls out the best saves! Flackwell Heath score their goal in the last minute.
