Q: What time is the taster session?
A: The taster session is from 6:15 - 7:30pm. We recommend arriving from 6pm to register.

Q: What ages and school years is the taster session open to?
A: The taster session is open to girls aged 7 to 11 who are in current school years 2 to 6 (school years 3 to 7 from September 2019).

Q: Do you offer football training for older girls?
A: Yes, we will be running U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U15 and U18 teams for the 2019/20 season starting in September 2019.

Q: Do you offer football training for younger girls?
Mini Ducks training for boys and girls aged 2.5 to 6 years runs on Saturday morning. We are currently investigating the interest for girls-only training for 5 to 11 years – watch this space for more details!

[b]Q: Do the girls need to wear football boots?
A: Trainers will do for the taster session but if your daughter enjoys herself and wants to continue playing football then we recommend investing in football boots.

Q: Do the girls need to wear shin pads?
A: Ideally, yes but they aren’t mandatory for the taster session. However, if your daughter continues playing football then shin pads are required for training and when playing games.

Q: My daughter has never played football before and is scared.
A: Don’t worry, all abilities are welcome. We run regular taster sessions and lots of our players had never kicked a ball before when they came along for the first time.

Q: Any other advice for the taster session?
A: Please check the weather and wear suitable clothing. Please also remember to bring plenty to drink.

Q: Why do I need to fill in a registration form for the free training session?
A: We ask you to complete a temporary membership form as we require certain details and parental consent for safeguarding and insurance purposes. If your daughter decides to join the club then we will ask you to complete the full online registration.

Q: What happens after the taster session?
A: We will be running free training over the summer which your daughter is welcome to attend. We will publish a calendar on our website and on our Facebook page (@AULGFC) listing the dates training will be running. Preseason training finishes at the end of August and the new season officially starts from the 1st September at which point we ask players to register with the club and pay their membership fees. The fees for the 2018/2019 season were £130 for U9/U10s and £140 for U11-U16s. Details of next season’s fees will be published by the end of July.

Q: Who can I speak to if I’ve got more questions?
A: You can speak to any of the managers, assistant coaches and committee members who will be at the taster session on Tuesday. If you think of anything afterwards you can email info@aylesburyunitedladiesgirlsfc.com or message the club via our Facebook page (@AULGFC).
