Underserved scoreline

Aylesbury United Ladies went into the home game against Buckingham Athletic with confidence up following a good result last week. This told in the first half when they battled really well against the league leaders who did manage a few attempts on goal but certainly did not dominate. It was Buckingham that took the lead, however, with a goal mid way through the half but Aylesbury continued to work hard and closed the opposition down to limit their attacking chances. It remained 1-0 until half time so both teams went into the second half hoping for another good half of football. It was Buckingham who built on their lead to win the game and Aylesbury need to pick themselves up and go again next week hoping for a better result. If they keep doing the things that they can influence well then they should be ok. Well done to Catherine Wareham who was voted player of the match by the opposition and to Amber Chalmers who was voted player of the match by the home team.
