This week's report has been written by Maisie:

Today we played at the Kempston tournament it was really hot and our players were: Maisie, Rosalina, Ciara, Evie, Grace, Felicia, Paige, Georgia and also Lily C came along from the under 10’s.

In are first match we played Kempston and unfortunately although having about 10 shots the team Kempston scored with their only shot and we lost.

In our second game we played Tattenhoe and we well and had a load of shots but the finishing score was 0-0.

Our third game was against Bedford, Evie scored our first goal and about 5 minutes later a Bedford girl scored their goal and we finished drawing 1-1 .

We made it to the semi-finals and we played Kempston again and we finished drawing 1-1 and had to go into penalties Grace scored our first penalty and the first Kempston girl missed and we ended up winning the penalties.

We played Tattenhoe in the finals and finished at full time 0-0 in our penalties it was 2 all it was Maisie’s time to take her penalty, if she scored we would win the tournament she took it and scored!

The under 11’s had won their first tournament, it was brilliant! Everyone played really well!!

All 9 girls were exceptional throughout the day. We got better each game and were the best team there by the end. Georgia and Rosalina were immense at the back, both of them covered for each other and didn't allow the opposition a sniff. Felicia played everywhere and worked hard throughout, was excellent playing as a CDM especially. Ciara put in her best collection of performances for ages, won so many tackles and used the ball intelligently. Grace was everywhere, tracking back to win the ball before driving us up the field, held her nerve twice from the spot as well. Paige's pace and skill caused the opposition problems all day, she was unlucky not to score as was peppering the opposition goal throughout. Maisie worked her socks off in midfield and caused the opposition problems with her direct running, held her nerve to calmly slot the ball into the top corner on penalties in the final. Evie played everywhere but particularly shone up front, she scored two excellent goals and used her defensive abilities to pressure the opposition's defenders into mistakes which allowed us to win the ball back higher up the pitch

Big shout out to Lily C as well who volunteered to go in goal for us and kept 2 clean sheets and saved 2 penalties as well! She also made an awesome save in the semi-final
